Fairfax Comic-Con Jr. Cosplays

Why Jr.? Because Fairfax Comic-Con takes place twice a year near Dulles Airport. This late-winter event is one day while the full convention is two days during the summer. I would highly recommend getting there before it starts if you want parking. There was a flea market next door and both events filled the parking lot, including the Walmart next door.

There were vendors and artists filling the entire floor. Ghostbusters, Virginia held two tables. They are a non-profit organization and one of the top charities in the state. They also participated in the Apple Blossom Parade this May. More information about them can be found in my interview with their president, Tony.

Among guests were wrestlers, voice actors for Star Wars, and Paul Rugg, voice actor for Freakazoid and some Animaniacs characters. At the back right was the cosplay contest stage which took place from 2-4; closing time. By the time the contest started, the floor began to clear out, as contestants lined up to the far wall to participate. Among winners were Chompette and Borderlands.
