I almost was unable to beat this game but then I wouldn’t have accomplished my mission of playing off of the Final Fantasy main games.
I think starting off all characters as Onion Knights and not explaining if you can jump from different jobs without losing progress was a frustration for me. I also didn’t like having to use mini and toad on my characters throughout the game with limited spells. You cannot progress without doing so.
Mini village
It was where Aero was first used which was helpful for my White Mage who I later changed to Devout. That character was able to use offensive spells such as Tornado and Holy too.
These guys were introduced in FF3.
You can fight Bahamut, Odin, and Leviathan.
You buy other Summons.
The Floating Continent is part of the larger world.
You end up getting two ships. One goes underwater and is fast and the other is slow but sort of hops over mountains. Neither are fun.
You kill the end boss that you don’t remember much of why you’re here in the Crystal Tower for other than a flood.
And have four warriors of dark work with you, the four warriors of light to maintain the balance.
To fight this excessively long boss, the Cloud of Darkness. I had to use two healers because there was no way I was leveling long enough to last two of those blasts. Once you go past the dragon things at the top of the tower you can’t go back. This was definitely not an enjoyable game but I’m glad I experienced it and could see the progression of the series.
